what is it ?

Based on a cadio and muscular routine through a station to station format (bootcamp styles), this training uses multi joint exercises and puts an emphasis on the short resting periods. This will stimulate your metabolism while burning tones of calories.

Lower body/ Extreme ABS

What does this training session consist of?

A 60 minute exercise workout routine which blends a cardio routine on the treadmill and muscular routine through free weights. This class is always focuses on different exercises focusing on your quadriceps, buttocks, hamstring and obliques which will lead to a fit, strong and defined body and core. If you are ready to workout and challenge the largest muscles in your body, this workout is definitely built for you!

Upper Body

What does this workout consist of?

A full 60 minute muscular workout!! This is the only Epix workout day where there is only weight training and no treadmill work. Implementing many different methods, forms of equipment and exercises – this workout focuses on your pectoral, back, shoulder and arms muscles to form a strong, defined and fit body. If you want strong shoulders, bulging pecs and defined arms – this is a workout you should never miss.

Fullbody TBT

What does this even mean? (Not #throwbackthursday)

TBT means “Task based Training” & “Team Based Training”.

What does this workout consist of?

The class is split into one or more sections and you will have to complet a task with a partner. For each zone, different exercise formats may be applied:

- Declining set repetitions (21-15-9, 18-12-6, 15-9-3 etc)
- AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible)
- Pyramid Training (1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1
- EMOM (every minute on the minute)

Sometime, the beginning of the class will consist of some form of technical instruction where the goal is to master the proper movements of certain exercises.

What does this workout consist of?

This 60 minute workout will consist of half the class dedicated to cardio training on the treadmill while the other half of the class will be dedicate to weight training and sculpting. This class will always be a unique blend of different exercises and activities for a stronger, more defined and fit body. If you are ready to sweat, then this class is one you cannot miss.

FULLBODY/TABATA

What does this training consist of?

Once every month, this full body class will be under Tabata protocol.
Tabata is an intense interval based training method which offers superior and different personal results than traditional exercising methods. Tabata training can be best described as follows:

- Tabata blocks each last a total of 4 minutes
- 20 seconds of intense training of one specific exercise/movement
- 10 seconds rest
- Repeat for a total of 8 times
